NotebookLM is Google's research and note-taking assistant that answers questions based only on sources you upload, such as PDFs, docs, websites and videos, with citations back to the material. That grounding makes it more trustworthy than a general chatbot for studying a report, preparing for a meeting or analysing customer interviews. It is also known for generating podcast-style Audio Overviews of your sources. It is free to use, with higher limits on paid Google plans. As with any tool here, test it on a real task from your own work before committing to a paid plan.
